It’s Podcasts. Daaaaaaaaarling.

No-one can accuse me of not being cool and stylish. I once owned a Royal Blue Gola shellsuit, and I don’t even use a comb in my hair. So therefore it’s only fitting that today Fresh Air is launching its most stylish podcast yet – What Were You Thinking? With Henry Holland , in association with Vestiaire Collective.

More importantly perhaps, it’s the most consumer-focused piece of work we’ve ever created, with the idea of product sales perfectly integrated into both the podcast and the digital activity that supports it. So, if you’ve ever wondered how podcasts could be used in B2C to drive trackable ROI and sales, you can read my blog about it right here .

But enough of banging on about our own coolness/cleverness. Here are your podcast recommendations for the week.

The Rule of Three

As recommended by me, Neil Cowling – Bath FM breakfast radio host 2001 – 2003.

The Rule of Three is for comedy geeks. I am a comedy geek.

Therefore idea of listening to people who love Father Ted as much as I do talking about the intricacies of Father Ted for an hour is my perfect idea of a podcast. See also – Bottom, Young Ones, Blue Jam, Royle Family etc. Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris have written for Charlie Brooker, Philomena Cunk and many others, so they know everything about comedy and know everyone in it.

In each episode, a different comedian or comedy writer picks a show they love and takes it apart. If you don’t like the show they choose, the episode won’t be for you. But if you love it, this is an hour of nerdy indulgence. I love it, and so did the judges of the British Podcast Awards. It just won best cultural podcast.
